Premier League winner odds: In-form Chelsea shorten in price
Chelsea are now 13/2 in the Premier League winner odds market but leaders Liverpool continue to head the betting

City, meanwhile, continue to look a shadow of their former selves and were held to a 2-2 draw at struggling Crystal Palace, while Arsenal also had to settle for a point at Fulham.

Premier League winner odds: Maresca’s men make a move
Chelsea have climbed to second after a run of five wins and two draws in their last seven Premier League games, prompting the bookmakers to shorten their odds for winning the title to 13/2.
Their latest victory, coming from 2-0 down to beat Tottenham 4-3, was particularly impressive, with Enzo Fernandez and Cole Palmer dictating the flow of the game for long periods.
With matches against Brentford, Everton, Fulham and Ipswich to come this month, the Blues are well placed to consolidate their status as Liverpool’s main challengers.
Arne Slot’s side are four points clear of the Blues with a game in hand but will feel they missed an opportunity to tighten their grip on top spot by conceding a late equaliser in an entertaining 3-3 draw at Newcastle last week.
The Reds looked out of sorts in the first half at St James’ Park and twice fell behind before Mohamed Salah looked to have won it late on. But Fabian Schar scored from a tight angle to give the Magpies a share of the spoils, but Liverpool remain 4/6 favourites to win the Premier League title.
Arsenal (3/1) struggled to break down an energetic and well-organised Fulham at Craven Cottage after the home side had taken an early lead through Raul Jimenez’s clinical strike.
The Gunners’ territorial dominance did bear fruit as William Saliba got them back on level terms shortly after the break and they thought they had won it late on, only for Bukayo Saka’s headed finish to be ruled out for offside.
Mikel Arteta’s men are six points behind leaders Liverpool having played a game more as the busy festive period approaches.
Manchester City continue to struggle for the form that brought them four Premier League titles in a row. They have managed just one win from their last six league games and were held to a 2-2 draw by a Crystal Palace side hovering one place above the relegation zone.
City’s defensive frailties were on show again as first Daniel Munoz and then Maxence Lacroix enjoyed the freedom of Selhurst Park to score for the hosts. Erling Haaland and Rico Lewis replied for Pep Guardiola’s team but the joy was short-lived for Lewis who was sent off six minutes from time.
The reigning champions’ inability to win games that previously would have been considered routine, not to mention the fact they now trail Liverpool by eight points and have played a game more than the leaders, is reflected in their odds of 10/1 to win the Premier League title.
